Goods received are scanned by a handheld barcode scanner. Important information like Item Number, Serial Number, Location and quantities can then be transmitted back to the computer systems using Wireless LAN or Bluetooth. The stock levels and location of the newly received batch are updated automatically, eliminating the error-prone and manual counting and data entry.
An electronic picking list is generated via the scanner through communications with the computer. Information downloaded into the scanner enables workers to pick and verify the cartons. Information is then uploaded to the system after which the Delivery Order, Invoice and Shipping Label can be generated.
