Quick Service Restaurant

Just like any fast-food restaurant in town, they face the same daily problem of huge flow of raw materials in their store. This is due to the fast service and transaction flow. Customers walk-in to their restaurant to have a fast meal and rushed off to elsewhere. Therefore, the store has to keep a huge inventory of raw materials in a limited space in order to meet this huge and fast demand.

Issues:

The store has many varieties of raw food in their inventory. However, some of the food products move faster than others. It has been a challenge for them to track the expiry date of the raw food; furthermore, the raw food often comes in big packaging. If, a staff misplaced an opened package, and another staff will open a new package, all the opened packages will not have a true expiry date/time. Moreover, the freshness of the raw food cannot be guaranteed if it is not sealed. Therefore there is a lot of wastage and confusion in the kitchen.

Solutions:

TH2 Printer

  SATO Labels

SATO TH2 printer is built-in with a real time calendar which allows user to call for the current date/time. It is enhanced by an auto calculation function which allows user to calculate the actual expiry date/time based on the expiry length of each product stored in the database. Its large storage capacity of up to 2GB offers user the capability to store up to 10,000 of data.

During receiving of goods, the staff can repack the raw food to smaller packs which contain sufficient volume for the day’s supply. He can use our TH printer to label each of the individual small pack printed with the expiry date/time. In addition, when the item is removed from the freezer, he can print out another label to indicate the time it was removed from the freezer, the time of thawing and the expiry date/time. Such, everyone in the kitchen will know the freshness of the ingredients. Hence, confusion and wastage is minimized.
