Bar Code SATO, Singapore launches the first SATO Certified Engineer Program. This is a 5-day intensive training program where distributors under the BSS umbrella were invited to attend.
"There has always been a concern that although we have very committed distributors all around Asia Pacific and South Africa, the way a technician repairs/services our machine may vary through time. We see the need to standardize and therefore, came up with the SATO method." said Mr Lim Yee, Director & General Manager of BSS.
"The first module of the SCE program featured 4 of our printer models as well as a day catered for software programming. During the training, the 'SATO' method was taught to the trainees. Some technicians were already using the correct way, but we also encountered others who were still using the 'unorthodox' method. At the end of each day, our trainers also simulated problems for the trainees to solve to make sure that they have understood the training perfectly." added Mr Lim.
To make sure that all trainees were given full attention, BSS limited each class to comprise not more than 10 participants with 5 printers for hands-on training. In that way, all questions could be answered in full details.
