SATO America, Inc., a leader in barcode printing since introducing the first thermal transfer barcode printer in 1979 and the industrys first, complete multi-protocol EPC-compliant RFID solutions offering, announced today the creation of a special RFID Business Unit focused exclusively on helping customers to understand and implement mandated RFID systems.
SATO America recently introduced the industrys first, complete multi-protocol EPC-compliant RFID solutions for customer pilots and beta tests and fully supports the Uniform Code Councils (UCC) EPC initiatives including projects driven by Wal-Mart, the Department of Defense (DOD), and other major retailers. SATO will now enable suppliers to Wal-Mart and other retail companies to meet the upcoming RFID mandates in North America.
Mr. Jan Svoboda, RFID Business Unit Manager, has been appointed to lead SATO Americas RFID Business Unit with strong support from his technical and sales staff. Mr. Svoboda has been extensively involved in RFID technology as SATO Americas former RFID product manager.
SATO Americas RFID Business Unit will report directly to Mr. Robert Linse, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at SATO America with Mr. Victor Barczyk, Vice President, Business Development, SATO International spearheading the worldwide effort. SATO Americas new RFID Business Unit will enable Jan and his RFID team to better serve our customers recent RFID market demands and demonstrates our total commitment to help develop and implement the appropriate RFID solutions, said Mr. Barczyk.
