Mr Jean-Pierre Ampen appointed as General Manager of SFS

01 October, 2006

October 01, 2006 - The management of SATO is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Jean-Pierre Ampen as General Manager of SFS.

Mr Ampen's involvement with SATO dates back from 1973. L'Etiquetage Rationnel, which Mr Ampen founded and managed for many years, became a SATO distributor in 1977. In 2005, L'Etiquetage Rationnel, by then one of SATO's major resellers in Europe, was taken over and integrated into the SATO Group as one of its Group Member Companies, renamed as SATO France (SFS). In 2005, Mr Ampen was hired as a consultant by SFS to impart his invaluable experience and industry knowledge to current staff. Mr Ampen thus became a SATO staff member more than 28 years after having started his association with SATO.

In his role, Mr Ampen will have day-to-day responsibility of the company's sales activities, and he will be working closely with Mr Dave Joyce to put SFS back on track to achieving its targets.

Our congratulations to Mr Ampen and sincere wishes for continued success.

A strong SATO Brand in France
Under his leadership, L'ETIQUETAGE RATIONNEL went on to become one of the leading resellers of SATO products and helped to establish the SATO brand name in France.

Bringing to market the 'DCS & Labelling' concept
In parallel with SATO's move to define itself as a 'DCS & Labelling' company, L'ETIQUETAGE RATIONNEL on its own had started providing integrated solutions that incorporated the ideal hardware and consumables supplies, third-party equipment and service contracts for maintenance and support. This has paved the way for SATO France to effectively bring to market full-service solutions aligned with the company's 'DCS & Labelling Worldwide' vision.
